Alain CORNEAU

Born in Orléans in 1943, he is a jazz musician and graduate of IDHEC in directing and editing. He has worked as an assistant director for Costa-Gavras, Roger Corman, Nadine Trintignant, Marcel Bozuffi, Marcel Camus and Marcel Drach before directing the film, France Société Anonyme, in 1973. He then goes on to direct Police Python 357 ('75), La Menace ('77), Série Noire ('78), Le Choix des Armes ('81), Fort Saganne ('83), Le Môme ('86), Afghanistan Pays Interdit (made for television - '87), Nocturne Indien ('89), Tous les Matins du Monde ('91), Le Nouveau Monde ('95) and Le Cousin ('97).
