This is simple story of a fishing village in the Caribbean. At sunrise the fisherman leaves for the sea and his wife mends the nets while their little girl plays on the beach with her cat. As the day goes by we follow the family in their activities, noting the contrast of the simple life of the villagers and the rich tourists on holiday. At sunset the fishermen return home with their catch and the family is reunited after a day’s work. The little girl falls gently to sleep and we see a dream sequence of colourful fish swimming. Slowly the camera pulls back to reveal the sleepy village. A series of photographs with the credits suggests the reality behind the fantasy.
